What belongs on Member Events?
Member-hosted in-person nights: meetups, game hangs, consoles, handhelds, board games, card tables, and other local events. Post a poster, share it, and use RSVP for interest only, not tickets. Most nights start as free play. People pick group games once they are in the room.
Should we lock the night to one game?
Usually not. Let people play what they want first. If enough people want the same title, run a match or small bracket. Requiring one game on the poster often drives people away.
Do I need to bring my own PC?
Assume yes unless the poster says otherwise. These are BYO nights hosted by members, not internet cafés.
Can I bring a console?
Often, if the host has space and you bring a display. Check the poster or message the host before you arrive with a large setup.
Do I need an Ethernet cable?
Yes. Bring a long one. Hosts should not have to supply cables for every seat, and Wi-Fi is a poor backup for gaming.
Are speakers allowed?
Use headphones. If the host wants shared audio, they will say so on the poster.
Is Zemew hosting these events?
No. Zemew lists Member Events. We do not host, sponsor, or run member-posted nights, and we are not liable for what happens at them. The host on the poster or profile is responsible.
How do I post an event?
Sign in with your Zemew account and use Post an Event. Profile posting is on by default. Listing on the public Member Events board is optional and requires a verified email. Keep the public location to a city or region, and use RSVP for interest only, not tickets.
