Because Minecraft has always been a platform for me to learn "hands-on" with while pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, my thinking was to build it and leave it alone. Flexing my degree, a single host (computer) was utilized to host a Minecraft Server, webpage, storage server, email smtp for whitelisting and a renderer for the 3d world map. Honestly, I was blown away. But now AI is here and it seems that there is an opportunity to be had to further advance the Minecraft Server.
I'm currently building a system dedicated to host AI initially for the Minecraft Server. This AI will not only monitor system statistics, but also monitor for updates to the game, data packs, resource packs (and build them), administrate the Minecraft Server, perform moderation duties, perform security tasks both defensive and some light offensive security. This AI will essentially begin as the Minecraft Server's "Jarvis" and be accessible, eventually, in some form, by everyone to interact with. It might be possible to figure out how to make this AI system self-sustainable and always hosting a Minecraft Server, who knows!
This exciting path only means one thing for TinkersCraft, it's coming down again to be rebuilt with AI integrated. Before it goes offline though, the Archived Worlds will be posted for download if anyone at any time is interested in continuing those adventures. I'm guessing that the Archived Worlds will be available as a post in this forum somewhere under the TinkersCraft category.
We rebuilt this Minecraft server and have received a ton of feedback on how it's the best it has ever run. Some individuals stating it runs like a single player world. Hearing all of this has made me anxious to know, what will AI be able to do to TinkersCraft?! We will only be able to answer that if we work it!
If you're looking to get your Minecraft fix, check out AsrtoGaming.com as there is also a hosted Minecraft Server and it just so happens that Asrto_X is hosting a Discord Server too!
